ALA presents a single channel video installation, expanded and adapted from a seven-minute work by the British filmmaker Julia Dogra-Brazell@during October 31st and November 12th.
In contrast to the layered complexity of the shorter and more obviously filmic piece (also entitled, Chronicle of a Sound), this looped projection | without progress, without drama, without end | opens a very different economy of time. As Dogra-Brazell has said, e this is a piece for people who like to sit still. How you experience it, depends on your state of mind.f
Together with other works by the artist, the original seven-minute version of Chronicle will be screened at Uplink Shibuya on 5 November 2016.
